Bring Your Own Administrator Day (#BYOAdmin)

Free Registration for School or District Administrators

Thursday February 2, Free When Accompanied by Registered Teacher

Successful implementation of the new Science Georgia Standards of Excellence will require teachers and leaders to have a shared understanding of the standards and of instructional best practices for the science classroom.  GSTA's Bring Your Own Administrator Day is an excellent opportunity to start a conversation between science teachers and administrators.  Registered teachers attending the conference can bring a school or district leader to the conference at no additional charge on Thursday, February 2nd.  Administrators can attend all conference programs, and there will be targeted sessions offered as part of this special program.  Here are some highlights of special interest to school and district leaders.

  • State Superintendent Richard Woods
  • Dr. Brian Reiser, 3D Science Keynote Speaker
  • Georgia STEAM Alliance Network Panel on Diversity in STEAM Education
  • Sessions from GaDOE Staff and Science Ambassadors in the Engaging in the Science GSE strand
  • Special session on supporting teachers with the Science GSE by current administrators and leaders of GSTA and the Georgia Science Supervisors Association
How do I sign up?  Simply show Thursday, February 2nd, with your teacher, and there will be an on-site sign-up form.  You will receive a one-day conference badge and special #BYOAdmin program.  Email Jeremy Peacock with any questions.
