Frequently Asked Questions

1.  How do I get to the Conference Site?
The conference is being held at the Marriott Evergreen Conference Center at Stone Mountain.  Stone Mountain is located just east of Atlanta off US 78.  THIS LINK provides information and a map on how to get to the conference site.

2. Will I have to pay a fee to get into the Stone Mountain park?

No.  Complimentary gate admission will be provided for all conference attendees.  Whether you are preregistered, or registering onsite, all you will have to do is tell the gate at the park you are attending the GSTA conference (during the conference dates) and you will be admitted to the park for free.

3.  Where can I park?

There is free, onsite parking at the hotel and conference center for about 850.  GSTA would like to encourage carpooling to maximize space.  Overflow parking will be available at the Commons Restaurant & Golf Course located just a couple of miles north of the conference center on Stonewall Jackson Drive.  GSTA will provide a shuttle bus for overflow parking on Thursday and Friday from 8 to 10 and from 4 to 6.

4.  Where can I eat?

Food is available within the conference facility.  A lunch buffet will be available at the Waterside Restaurant, salads and sandwiches at Stonewall's Lounge, and light fare at the Mountain Brew Cafe.  There are several other places to eat located just outside the park as well.

5.  How do I get around the Conference Center?
General information about the conference center can be found here.  Specific information about session facilities will be found in the program and in the conference app.  A map showing the conference center rooms at the facility is available here.

6.  What other resources will be provided to help me get around the conference?
A full conference program will be available from the conference program webpage.  As always, hard copies of programs will be distributed at registration.  This year we will be providing a conference app to help you get around and schedule your conference experience.

7.  Will there be free wifi?

Wifi is a priority for GSTA and will be available throughout the conference center. While we are working to provide ample bandwidth, presenters and attendees are asked not to stream video during the conference.
