Supporting Excellent Science Teaching for Georgia

District 11 Director: Malissa Jones

I'm thrilled to serve as District 11 Director, bringing 17 years of experience in education across diverse school districts, from small communities to large urban communities. As an experienced educator, I currently serve as a Teacher Quality Specialist in the Muscogee County School District.  My journey in education has been marked with various honors such as being named the Sara Spano Top Teacher of the Year, Teacher of the Year, receiving the Gold Star of Excellence in Education, and being selected as an NSTA STEM Fellow.  I'm passionate about integrating technology into the Science classroom, utilizing case-studies and phenomena to bring Science to life and empowering our students to be future trailblazers.

My goal is to create a collaborative network within District 11, promoting personalized learning and innovative teaching methods that include taking Science education beyond the classroom while engaging students in real-world applications. I invite you to connect with me to share ideas, resources, and professional development opportunities.

Let's work together to create impactful learning experiences for our students and embrace the ever-evolving field of education. Feel free to reach out via email to explore new possibilities and celebrate the amazing work happening in District 11.
