Supporting Excellent Science Teaching for Georgia

I am excited to serve as your high school representative for GSTA this year.  I teach AP Biology, Human Anatomy and Physiology and Genetics at Greenbrier High School in Evans, Georgia.  I am a 2024 Finalist for Georgia Teacher of the Year and I am eager to advocate for STEM and science education at the state level.  I am an active member of NSTA and the National Scaling Up for STEM Initiative.  I am currently serving as a Vernier Trendsetter and as a CDC Science Ambassador Fellow.  I believe in community partnerships and I am working with the Georgia Cancer Center to provide opportunities for students and teachers.  Innovation does not happen in isolation, so let's work together to promote innovative teaching practices and to unlock our students' creativity for their own innovative ideas to emerge!  Please feel free to contact me about any of these programs and other ways I can support you in your classroom.
